So I got a new ride yesterday. It'll be the first time in 3-4 years we will have had car payments eating up part of our budget. I took my car in last week for an oil change/pre-winter tune up to discover it needed some other work too, which wouldn't have been that much of an issue, but it's a make (Suzuki) that is no longer made, and even though it was an '06 and only had 66K miles on it, parts for it were getting harder to find and more expensive each time something did go wrong (it was going to take 10 days to get parts to replace a pair of ball joints that had gone loose and get a new caliper and brake pads for the car and the part prices were going to drive the price up for the work to over a grand) so my mechanic suggested if I were thinking about moving on to a new car, now would be the time before I started sinking a lot of money to keep that one on the road. My wife agreed and we started the process of car shopping last week, and came home with the new (used) car yesterday (a 2016 Honda CRV LE). Of course driving home form Columbus, I promptly took a stone to the windshield that chipped it leaving a BB like divot in the windshield.
It's probably the nicest car I have ever owned, but I am still a little grumpy that I even had to go through the process of getting a new car and taking on a car payment. I am grateful though, to be at a place in my life where having to get a new car is more of an inconvenience than a financial crisis, and I do like the car a lot.

So I've had a lot of imaginary friends for a long time. It's really only a problem if they're better than your real friends.

you can't blame yourself.
individuals are stubborn and sometimes refuse to ask for help.

It's a nice little affordable way to have books you might not otherwise be able to find. I utilize mine strictly for books, comics, magazines and music. Also for storing in word form all my Disneyland trips and Phoenix Comic-Con pictures. Rather nice being able to pull up a Conan to read or jumping into a Tarzan or reading some TwoMorrow's magazines and then digging into some comics. It's not too large, I can carry it in my overnight bag, or toss it in my backpack, fairly light in weight and great for taking on travel trips and for waits at anyplace.
I tend towards getting old pulps, ERB collections, REH collections, old westerns and mysteries/thrillers and bundled collections of fantasy/science fiction. I have stored copies of my CD-ROM collections of Archie, Jughead, Betty and Veronica of the 70's and my Star Trek CD-ROM that has ALL of the series starting with the Gold Key up through Marvel/DC/Malibu. Along with a good chunk of the Gold Keu/Charlton runs of Lee Falk's Phantom comics.
