Shouldn't that be, "I'm not going to change my avatar again, again." ? I understand, but I'm addicted to change and that's me. Thanks for your post here. Keep changing them , Mech ! Just don't change your name again...

This is how someone with lower education who never left England could write like someone university educated with such veracity about European places, places Christopher Marlowe had visited. Not wanting to be snarky, but this particular statement of yours doesn't actually prove anything one way or the other. Both literature and music are littered with examples of seemingly poorly educated or unworldly individuals who have created works that have changed the world and left an indelible mark on history. Being a creative genius doesn't require the person in question to be worldly, well travelled, or even necessarily academically proficient in their particular field. That's not how genius works. And Shakespeare -- whether he collaborated with others on occasion or not -- was a genius.

Being a creative genius doesn't require the person in question to be worldly, well travelled, or even necessarily academically proficient in their particular field. That's not how genius works. And Shakespeare -- whether he collaborated with others on occasion or not -- was a genius. I just paraphrased that line from the Marlovians. I think I did okay with a theory though, I don't buy it at all but maybe some conspiracy people would? All I do know is there is all this stuff about empty tombs and unorthodox weddings, and then there are what scraps of paper have survived through the centuries, mostly baptismal records but also a couple arch witticisms directed at both in something published in 1592. A wise person has a grasp on what they can't know and I think this is one of those things... we can't know. But it does appear William Shakespeare was actually a bit more real and documented than Christopher Marlowe (those scraps of paper/parchment)! It was a very different world then. There is also a 'missing' period or three where Shakespeare had the means and could've traveled, we just don't have his 747 tickets. I formally might only have a grade 8 education, so no serious beard pulling intended.

Social media has birthed many miscreants that feel it's okay to act out in any manner to become " famous and go viral ". This last weekend someone drop kicked Arnold Schwartzenegger from behind. It was totally unprovoked.

Here is an interesting lecture on the "Who wrote Shakespeare?" controversy. Kinda longish, but well worth your time if you're interested in the topic.
Cei-U! I summon the food for thought!

I've read books exploring both sides of the argument, so thanks for this.
Quite a few of the books I'd like to read on this issue are out of print, but there are some available, quite a few of them Kindle versions.

Sorry, but this is akin to saying that there are two sides to the Flat Earth “argument.”

Nothing akin to the flat Earth argument as the Earth is round - and I wouldn't read any flat earth books.
But some books have made a compelling case both for and against the Shakespeare authorship question. People I respect, who are much more intelligent than I am, have posted about it. So it's definitely something I enjoy reading about. And, again, nothing like the Flat Earth "argument" as most sane, rational people know the Earth is a globe.
