Some Quick Hits:
Space Usagi #3-enjoyed the wrap up of this story, hope there is more in the future.
Usagi Ice & Snow #5-felt more like an epilogue or stand alone story than Pt. 5 of the arc. Enjoyed it quite a bit, as I really dig the standalone stories that happen in this book, but using series of mini-series does kind of work against these in terms of feel and pacing. Standalones are a chance to catch your breath or explore a character, custom or bit of folklore, but when numbered with an arc in a mini, it makes them feel more filler than feature. More an aspect of packaging and trade dress than quality of the story, but those things frame expectations and that in turn impacts reception of the story.
-Wonder Woman #6. Decent end to the first arc. I still have some mixed feeling about this book, largely because King has a track record for me of good beginnings and middles but endings that fall flat, and the ending here was solid, but still felt like a bit less than what the preceding issues had set up.
-Savage Red Sonja #4-enjoyed the early issues, this one felt a bit padded, I think the arc could have been finished in 4 but was stretched to 5.
-Batman #143-there are aspects of this I like and I am still trying to get a handle on Zdarsky's approach here (the only thing of his I can say I enjoy w/o reservations is Newburn), and the distinctions between events of the past and the (possible?) future/present tend to blur at times making bits of this feel muddled or unclear.
-Batman-Superman World's Finest #24-so I'll cop to being one who was not at all excited about revisiting Kingdom Come-I like the series for what it is but it's not something I like enough to want it to define the future of DC so to speak, so I was not gung ho about this arc when it started, but I ended up enjoying more than I expected. The final part was a good ending for it, with lots of grist to chew on in the future, but I am ready to move on.
Titans #8-I like this book, I love these characters, I am not enthused with yet another Trigon and Raven goes bad storyline, but that said, let's see what happens as WF has shown arcs I am not enthused for can still be entertaining reads for me.
The Agent #1-3 I really like the premise (a pseudo-real world where elements or witchcraft and folklore are true, and where organizations on both sides of the law-Homeland Security, CIA, mafia, terrorist cels etc.-make use of it to pursue their agendas, but its mostly black ops and the multitude are ignorant of its existence), I like the characters, but the storytelling both visually and in scripting/plotting is a bit muddled. It has potential and I want to see if it achieves it, but I can't really recommend the book based on what's on the pages themselves yet. It's from Ablaze, and I'm not if this is an English translation of something published in another language elsewhere, or original material in English. If the former, translation issues and cultural differences might account for some of the muddled impression I get from the 1st 3 issues.
