Curious about this set of 12 and the collected Hardcover is priced more than the actual comics (hate when that happens). Thoughts?

I read it it, the set up was better than the payoff (something far too common). I really liked the first 2/3 of the series (#1-8), #9-12 less so. Still good, but I felt the ending and resolution were a bit weak. It may read better in one sitting than in monthly bits, as some delays late in the series impacted how much I remembered issue to issue in the final issues, which may have impacted my enjoyment of the final issues. Not sure I'll ever reread it (I sold off my single issues in my last purge). Worth a read for sure, but I wouldn't put it among my recent favorites.

I really liked it, it was one of my top 5 favourites of 2022 and 2023. I've read it in one setting though (or two settings more precise as I read both trades.) I don't consider the story complete though, this was just the first arc.

Okay, I got it....including the 2nd and 3rd prints of #1 and might look into a few of the variants as well.

I just read it and quite liked it. The back cover says it's a mix of "The Big Chill" and "Lost," and I can see that; throw in "St. Elmo's Fire" and "Dollhouse" and we're in the ballpark. It's one of those stories like "The Matrix" or "Everything Everywhere All At Once" that you're better off not knowing what it's about before you start reading, but suffice I found its theme intriguing, of getting your childhood and adult friends together. I was already a fan of Alvaro Martinez Bueno, and this series confirmed it further.  |
