(sigh) you win, thwhtguardian ... Batman #428: Robin Lives! (February 2024) Yeah, I have to say, more than anything else I think the ads fascinated me the most. Are they considered fair use due to their age? I've never bought any of the other facsimle editions that have cropped up in the last few years, anyone know if they also reproduce the original ads?

Some of those ads make use of trademarks and logos, but perhaps the rest would be considered fair use? Yeah, I'm not really sure about how the rules go for reprinting a nearly forty year old work. It's still a for profit book, so you'd think DC would need permission to reprint the ads...but perhaps because the companies in question paid for these ads to be in this book once upon a time they can be reprinted? I might have to see if anyone at DC would respond to an email about it.
