For Nurses week here in the hospital they are allowing everyone to wear Superhero shirts today. This goes to show how much change has occurred in the common world as comic books were once considered to be childish and a nerd/geek hobby but with the advent of Marvel/DC/other comic book movies the reality has changed. Superhero stuff is now considerably cooler to the average person and more recognizable and acceptable. Going to be interesting to see how many shirts and heroes are represented today.
Myself am wearing a Captain America T-shirt which basically looks like his uniform. Blue with big white star on front and red/white stripes around the waist. Already seen another Cap America shirt with just the shield on front, a Robin shirt looking like his costume and another with Superman on the front of the shirt.

Years ago I was in packaging sales and had a lot of phone work from our production facility. I could wear my superhero t-shirts there.
The two that easily got the most positive responses were Shazam yellow logo on red and the LSH logo where a picket would be on black t-shirt with white stars all over.
Interestingly enough, no one knew the characters.

Interestingly enough, I bet they would now, and that movie was a lot of fun.

The pop culture reference I am still surprised that people get here in Canada is Doctor Who. It aired on PBS Friday nights in the eighties and other than my brother and friend at school no one knew what it was and I couldn't even figure out how to explain it to people. "What, he flies around in a spaceship or something?" "Well, it's like a telephone booth" "How does he fit in there?" "It's bigger on the inside than the outside" "Huh? Well who plays this guy?" "Well, there's different actors" "What are you talking about?" "He regenerates and changes his body." "Are you making this up?"
I was at a comic convention several years ago and was speaking to some kids who looked to be about ten and I told them I like Doctor Who. In unison they corrected me "uh, uh! His name's not 'Dr. Who', it's 'The Doctor'!"
Jon Pertwee once said that it's amazing how many people turn out for a Dr Who convention but if you held a Worzel Gummidge convention about six people would show up. I feel like I'm walking around seeing people with Worzel Gummidge backpacks and T-shirts and costumes everywhere. It's somewhat surreal for my ten year old self.

Enjoy the Green Lantern tap dancing ensemble. No way that was Batman's real singing voice, though. Had to be a double.

Oh, yeah. You're gonna love that big dust-up between Jack of Hearts and Hypno-Hustler to gain possession of King Solomon's Frog. And I'll admit, the big reveal that Ringmaster is actually Hawkeye's long-lost dad (it's always a carny!) was a real shock.

At least EdoBosnar didn't reveal the secret WB/Disney deal that saw Darkseid appear at the end - and blast Thanos out of existence with his Omega Beams!

But it really turned seriously unfunny when Thanos blew his nose and wiped out everything else left in existence. This explains Endgames biggest opening weekend and then rapid decline of revenue!!! Nobody left to see the dang movie for a 2nd through 15th time!!!

Youngest son had his last band concert tonight. He was in school band from 6th grade through his senior year. Started playing drums at 8 and bongos at 6. I couldn’t convince him to try out for Boise State’s band though I think he’s good enough. I’m sad. I hope he’s not done with music.
