I think it's kind of a shame that fnord12 shut down his Marvel Comics Chronology project. Sure and he had reached the mid-90s so I can see how it was less appealing to continue chronicling those as opposed to the Silver and Bronze Age stuff, but it was nice to see this vast database of Marvel issues and character appearances, and the comments section was quite lively. Rather curious as to why fnord closed the comments as well.

I did know that Ms. Marvel would be in Endgame , my concern is that many sites will spoil key plot points. This is why they used false scripts and had people sign NDA for these movies, but people want to post things to get clicks on their pages. Heck, even having her appear in a scene with Thor gives away that they meet on earth. Except Thor meeting Captain Marvel and being in Endgame is in the trailer for Endgame that the studio made and released, so I don't think they are trying to hide the fact she is in it or meets Thor, in fact they are counting on people knowing that as an enticement to see the movie. -M It must be a newly released trailer. I didn’t see it in the first two.

Yes, it’s in trailer #3.
As someone said on Youtube, “even trailers have post-credit scenes, now”!

My wife and I are planning our summer holiday and are hesitating between New England, California, Florida, Texas and Louisiana.
New England is closer and has all that old America mystique, but the parks in Texas look fantastic (and I’d like to see Cross Plains someday); California looks gorgeous; Florida has Cape Canaveral, and Louisiana just looks darn cool and is a little more out of the way. So many things to see!
Any suggestions?
Cheers!

It's a beautiful area (I have a lot of family of Acadian heritage down there), but it's really only tolerable in the cooler months. Florida is much the same, as is Texas, so if it's heat you're after, any of those would suffice. Just be prepared.

Thanks, The Captain! Dry heat we can handle fine, but humidity less so... So no swamp monsters for us, I guess!

Then don't watch the mid-credit scene if you watch Captain Marvel or watch the newly released trailer for Endgame either (which is where the picture is probably from). Seriously, that's basically the first scene of Endgame. (Just watched Capt. Marvel last night by the way, and loved it.)

Yeah, I spoke to our own Dan Bailey (who lives in Alabama) about the temperature/humidity in the South and he thought my wife and I's idea of visiting in late September/early October was just about right. It'll still be hot there then, but much more bearable than high summer.

Growing up, my mother (who's from Memphis, TN) used to take me and my sister with her when she would visit our grandmother in the summers. While not down on the Gulf Coast, it still gets really swampy in July and August, and my mom couldn't understand why her two northern kids didn't want to go outside and do things. As an adult, the only times I've willingly been further south are in spring or autumn. For work, however, I used to spend lots of time in Houston in the summer, which I believe is a preview of the sauna in Hell.

This Thursday is the last day my home will have internet access. I've had Verizon fios for the last 6 years without complaint but it's risen in price too much ( 95 dollars) and everyone in the home spends too much time surfing. I have internet access from my cell phone but after a certain amount of gigs, it slows down. I'll have to manage posting on here by going to the library or other places that have free wifi.

Feeling your cost effectiveness brother! I don't have internet at home based on cost and spending all day at work on a computer. I too have limited access on the phone and use it sparingly. I enjoy the CCF site but when retirement comes or work let's me go I will end up an occasional viewer and rarely contribute as paying for home internet won't be a priority when watching the funds.

That's a bold move, my friend, and I wish you the best. When we dropped our cable TV two-and-a-half years ago due to cost ($150/month for a bunch of crap we didn't need to be wasting our time watching), we beefed up our internet package, since that is our only link to the outside world. Both my wife and I work from home a couple of days per week, and both of our daughters have a lot of schoolwork that has to be done online, so it's a necessity for us, but someday, I would love it if I could drop it and just listen to the radio for news and entertainment.
